Table mats and placemats are very useful not only in the living and dining room, but also in the kitchen. They can serve as a base for hot kitchen utensils, protecting kitchen countertops. But most of all, decorative mats are used on the table at home, as placemats under plates, cups or glasses, thus protecting the tablecloth or runner from getting dirty.
